At HCC no one person makes all the decisions. We require unanimous decisions made by mature individuals, who have prayed and care for the Body. A local body of believers shouldn't have spiritually immature people trying to make spiritually mature decisions. The stress in Scripture is on godly individuals serving and making godly decisions for the flock. Willingly, eagerly showing the rest of the sheep what it looks like to be a sheep. Elders serve the Chief Shepherd, the gracious, mighty, exalting, caring Lord. They are to serve God and shepherd the flock--serious responsibilities. Other responsibilities at HCC include praying, the Word being shared, setting overall direction for the church, the staff, the administration team, doctrines, philosophy of ministry, policies, future facilities, and annual budget approval.
